Governance

NAVIGATOR’s management structure ensures efficient coordination, clear oversight and accountability mechanisms and effective implementation.

Principal Investigator

The Principal Investigator (PI) – John Karlsrud – is responsible for efficient management of the project and individual activities with respect of time, budget and quality. The PI also functions as the intermediary for all communication between co-beneficiaries and the European Commission. The PI will take the lead in the preparation and signing of the Consortium Agreement at the outset of the project, and chair the GC and the GA. The PI will receive managerial and academic advice from the External Advisory Board. The PI will be supported by the Project AdministratorAndrea Myhrbraaten – who will be responsible for daily management and administration of the project.

General Council

The General Council (GC) is the supervisor for the execution of the project. Moreover, it is responsible for proper execution and implementation of the decisions of the General Assembly. The leader of WP1 (Project Management) shall chair all meetings of the GC, unless decided otherwise by 2/3 of the votes. The GC is composed of the Work Package Leaders and will meet twice a year, or more often if it is required. Meetings may be held at the decision of the Project Coordinator or by ½ of its members. The GC will work continuously and communicate between meetings as appropriate.
