Angela Mehrer

Angela Mehrer is the programme manager in the European Power programme at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Berlin office. She oversees the coordination and delivery of projects examining Europe’s role in a changing international order and supports the programme’s fundraising, partnerships and strategic development.

Mehrer coordinates ECFR’s Re:Order project, which explores competing visions of the future global order, and contributes to the organisation’s New Politics Project, which examines political change and public attitudes across Europe. Prior to joining ECFR, she completed internships at the Federal Academy for Security Policy in Berlin and at the news literacy organisation Lie Detectors in Brussels.

Mehrer studied governance and public policy at the University of Passau and holds an MA in politics and public administration from the University of Konstanz. She also has an MA in international security studies from Charles University in Prague.
