Daniel obtained two BA degrees in Economics and in Political Science. He did his MA in Public Administration at Radboud University, the Netherlands. Furthermore, he attended an executive education programme on sustainability at Peking University, China. He finished his PhD in Public Policy in 2024 at Central European University, Vienna.
Before joining CEU, he worked at the European Commission (DG Clima – EU ETS Implementation unit). During his PhD, he was a junior researcher fellow at the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Budapest, where he studied climate policy development in the Central and Eastern European regions.
His research primarily focuses on the political economy of global climate policy development.
