Ida Dokk Smith

Ida is a Senior Research Fellow at NUPI and part of the Research group on climate and energy. Her primary research interests are climate, energy and environmental politics. She has worked on domestic and international issues related to a transition from a fossil fuel to low-carbon energy system: including policy tools to promote green technologies, just transition, and US climate and energy policy. She has done fieldwork in Tanzania, Uganda and the US on renewable energy development and natural resource management.
Ida holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Oslo and Master of International Affairs (MIA) from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs.
